10-02-09 is a digital mosaic, created by a custom software aggregator, promoting critical thinking about violence around the world.
In an attempt to capture the collective perception of the planet on a single day this aggregator collected all the images uploaded to Flickr and of news headlines on Google News on February 10, 2009. Posterior analysis of meta tags and surrounding text presented a high correlation to violence, war, suffering and death. 10-02-09 seeks to highlight the absurd omnipresence of violence, hate and intolerance in human life at every level, from international affairs to interpersonal relationships.
